Mr. Robert W. Myles Jr is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Myles Consulting Group LLC, an Acquisition and Consulting Professional Services Firm.

Mr. Myles is a retired Army Colonel with 32 years of service. He has over 30 years of Executive Government and Corporate Acquisition experience, which includes 20 years as a Government Acquisition Professional in the United States Army. His career includes negotiating multi-million-dollar contracts as well as all facets of contracts management from pre-award to post-award actions. He was personally responsible for a Business Portfolio of Major Defense Contracts: Improved Outer Tactical Vest, developed and fielded in support of all Soldiers deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan; Enhanced Small Arms Protective Inserts; Protective eyewear for all deployed soldier, sailors, and marines; oversight of the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter Aircraft, the United States premier fighter aircraft. He has extensive experience in business capture pursuits as well as proposal management; skilled in the development of acquisition strategies; cost and proposal development; and negotiating international contracts. He has extensive experience in providing contract management oversight at the senior level in both operational and International environments. He has been a leader at all levels of the acquisition process: Program Manager for PEO Soldier, Assistant Product Manager for PEO IEWS; Senior Commander for Defense Contracting Management Agency (DCMA); Military Assistant (Acquisition) for the Secretary of the Army and Under Secretary of the Army; Inspector General Subject Manager Expert for Acquisition for Army Materiel Command; Senior Military Assistant (Acquisition) for Deputy Chief Management Officer (DCMO); Senior Military Assistant (Acquisition) for Under Secretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness.

Myles earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Bowie State University, a master’s degree in human resource management from Troy State University, and a Master’s of Resource Strategy from The Dwight D. Eisenhower School for National Security and Resource Strategy. Myles also completed the Army Training with Industry program with Harris Corporation.

Mr. Myles is a recipient of the Bronze Star Medal and Defense Distinguished Service Medal.
